Hearth Dragons

Hearth Dragons and the Year of the Dragon.
A Hearth Dragon is a small statue of  a dragon that is placed on the hearth of the home to bring prosperity, luck and good energy into the home. These days, we very rarely have a hearth in the home anymore, so any high shelf will do. Decorate around the Dragon with special energy inducing stones or crystals to enhance the power of the dragon. This is the Year of the Dragon 2012 and a great time to bring a Dragon home!

My name is Lava and I am a Fire Dragon!

Year of the Dragon

Wow, just realized it has been a year since I last posted here. I am sorry.
2012 is a new year and one that will bring prosperity and good luck for all who believe in the Dragon!

Pine Needle Baskets

Mugsy’s Celtic Designs

Pine Needle Creations       Learn to make beautiful pine needle creations!

Baskets, trivets, wall hangings and planters are just some of the wonderful items YOU can learn to make.

Mugsy’s At Home Pine Needle Classes

Pine needles have been used for hundreds of years to create functional and decorative baskets and bowls. In Central Oregon, we sit on a gold mine of natural products! If you are lucky enough to have Ponderosa Pine trees in your own back yard, you have 90% of the supplies necessary to create art!

Classes will be held at YOUR home with YOUR friends! Mugsy will provide all the necessary tools and supplies for your class. All you need to provide are friends who have the desire to learn the wonderful craft of pine needle weaving, a few snacks and beverages, and a large work table or several smaller tables that provide seating for everyone.

Mugsy’s classes are designed for beginners. She will teach you how to start and finish a small basket that you will take home with you at the end of the class. Mugsy will also teach you to gather and prep pine needles so you can continue your pursuit of basket weaving on your own.

Class size: 4 to 10 people;   Class Cost: $25.00 per person;   Class length: 4-5 hours
